Lindsay got this one from the Georgia Yellow Hammers. We know that this song’s lyrics have their roots in England as a children’s song and the melody can be traced back to the second strain of Creole Belles, written by Danish-born American violinist and composer Jens Bodewalt Lampe in the late 1890’s. Lindsay plays fiddle, Ben plays banjo, and Aaron plays guitar.

American music, keeping old time fiddle and banjo music from a one-way

knocks and triumph. Essentially unable to cope with modern life, the
members of this band are outcasts of society who survive by playing
the lost music of the flatlands where they were raised.
